7 Days of Prayer

Beginning Sunday, September 29, we are praying for seven days, 2 times per day (7am & 7 pm) for 14 minutes.  Choose the time that best works for you (7am or 7pm) and meet at the cross beside the sanctuary.  We will pray for 14 minutes at each time.  7 Days of Prayer is for First Baptist to plead with God to bring a revival to every heart during our Inspire Revival with Ken Forrester.   It is based on 2 Chronicles 7:14: "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."  We need you to join us for 7 Days of Prayer for Revival.

Sunday, September 29: Pray for Personal Revival

Ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas that need repentance and renewal. Pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in your life. Ask God to send a revival that begins in you and spreads to the Community of Dillon.  Ask God to bring lasting revival to First Baptist Church Dillon, that the work He starts would be sustained by His power and lead to transformation in the church and the community. (Psalm 51:10, James 4:8, 2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 85:6)

Monday, September 30: Pray for Repentance and Humility

Pray for a spirit of repentance and humility to sweep through First Baptist Church. Ask God to humble hearts and lead people to turn away from sin and seek His face.

(Acts 3:19, Proverbs 28:13, Joel 2:13, Acts 17:30, James 4:10, Micah 6:8, Proverbs 22:4, Philippians 5:2-8)

Tuesday, October 1: Pray for Marriages & Families

Pray God would strengthen marriages and families within the church and community. Ask for His guidance to foster love, patience, and understanding in relationships. Pray that husbands and wives would seek Christ as the foundation of their marriage, and that parents would raise their children in the knowledge and love of God. Ask for healing where there is brokenness and for God’s Word to dwell in every home.   (Psalm 128, Ephesians 5:33, 6:1, Galatians 5:22-23)

Wednesday, October 2: Prayer for obedience to God's Word and a love for His Church

Ask God to stir up a passion for His Word within the hearts of the people at First Baptist. Pray people would be drawn to Scripture for guidance, strength, and spiritual nourishment.  (Psalm 119:9-18, Hebrews 4:12, Hebrews 10:25)

Thursday, October 3: Pray for God's Power as the Word is proclaimed

Ask God for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit on First Baptist, empowering each of us to live boldly for Christ and share the Gospel with others.  (1 Thessalonians 1:5-6, 2 Thessalonians 3:1,)

Friday, October 4: Pray for God to protect hearts and minds (especially our children) in this evil world

Ask God to guard the hearts and minds of His people from fear, anxiety, doubt, and any harmful influence that may lead them away from His truth. Pray for His peace to fill their minds and hearts, that they would focus on His Word, trusting in His promises. Ask for strength to stand firm in faith, resisting temptations and lies, and that they would experience God’s peace in every situation.  (Matthew 6:13, Philippians 4:7-8, Proverbs 4:23, Romans 12:2)

Saturday, October 5: Pray for broken relationships to be restored

Pray for God to break down any walls of division and help us to love one another deeply. Ask God to unite us in purpose and mission, reflecting God's love to the world.  (Matthew 5:23-24, John 13:35, 1 Peter 3:8, 1 Corinthians 1:10, Romans 12:16-18, Psalm 133:1, Ephesians 4:3)
