Discipleship

At Dillon First Baptist, we believe that the Great Commission Christ gave to the disciples in Matthew 28:19-20 still applies to His church: "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen." (Matt. 28:19-20, NKJV) For this reason, we have an intentional three-step discipleship journey on which every follower of Christ should embark. The steps in this process are connect, grow, and serve. We believe every believer in Christ should Connect to God and others, Grow in knowledge of God's Word and relationship to Him, and Serve Him in the world through the church.
